The Ice House Pub - Barre

Excellent food! All ingredients and meat come from local farms, if possible. Casual atmosphere, good beer (usually local breweries) and friendly staff. Some of the menu prices are higher than others in the area, but again all local organic ingredients. Definitely worth the cost of the gourmet-level food you receive. I recommend that everyone who wants to try something you can find without a long ride...

The food here is spectacular. The process seemed a bit high, but they use all local products and even label where it comes. My beer Cheese Bacon Burger was a perfect medium wheel and oozed with taste. It also came with a small mountain of crispy French fries. The drinks were delicious and very unique, and there was an interesting selection of imported beers. I ordered a Eulogy and enjoyed it. I wish the parking lot had more lighting, not for security reasons, but because I hadn't even noticed that the pub had opened again. I hope the word will come out and live the place. I personally cannot expect to visit again!

This place is so good! Some friends and I went to their Harry Potter theme dinner at Halloween, and the staff and chef really went beyond and beyond. The restaurant was decorated so well (creative, not sticky), and the menu items including cocktails were all HP topics. But the most important part: the food was AMAZING. The restaurant has a new chef, and she is so talented and nice (we have to meet her)! The creamy mushroom soup was the best I tasted for some time, my burger was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the chicken of my friends fell off the bone! If you're in the bar, don't sleep in this place! Amazing food, great service is so worth checking out. We're coming back!

The staff was pleasant, polite and knowledgeable. I got the burger of the day and was impressed by its mixture of bold and subtle flavors. The Cheddar on this burger with the Chipotle sauce was perfect. It added the seasoned meat in the burger. The hand cut Fritten, where also a home run. The beer that the waitress recommended was light and refreshing, exactly what I asked. It's a cook. That was one of the best burgers I ever had. Finally, I just wanted to say thank you for a great lunch.

We were there for the 1st Brunch so things were a bit disorganized. Food was way better than average. Noticed the quality right away with my excellent breakfast sandwich. The English muffin was SO GOOD! From a local bakery. Only reason for 4 stars is the lack of coffee drinks, like lattes , specially with a Brunch. Lots of local meats produce means better quality, healthier and hopefully, less expensive in the long run.
