A friend recommended this place and we loved him!. I tried anticuchos in many places, but this is the best so far, they must have a wonderful secret ingredient!. We also had arroz con mariscos which was beautiful and the picarones were the perfect dessert. The staff is friendly, the piano player gives a unique touch to the restaurant, and the place itself is like a mini museum with so many beautiful picture frames. Yeah, I'll go back every time I visit Lima.
What a fantastic restaurant. I spoke to the owner Herman, who is the third generation to run this restaurant in Lima. He has a deep connection to city and music, dance and art that surrounds culture. The chefs go to the docks every day to bring back the fresh catch of the day to prepare themselves in the dishes. I chose the Ceviche and a Pisco Sour. Both incredibly fresh and delicious. Herman and the server, Pavlo, also treated me to a free pouring out their homemade pisco (I went for the camu camu infused pisco, but there are many options to choose from). In addition, the atmosphere is great, right at the main square in the beautiful Barranco District. A very talented gentleman plays LIVE PIANO in the evening. Thank you for a great experience!
It has a really nice atmosphere and wonderful food here. The serving sizes are good too. There is lively music in the background when I went to dinner which adds to the mood and makes for a really enjoyable night out.
This unassuming restaurant will deceive you: it is NOT a tourist trap, it is an excellent restaurant with incredibly low prices. And the piano player helps set the mood and gives the place a shabby, neighborhood ambiance, somewhere you go to meet friends and eat good homemade food.
