Costa Coffee - Barnsley

I am a regular here, the staff are welcoming and friendly, it is a little tucked away in the corner near KFC and Taco Bell. The parking isn’t an issue unless you go off site or stay more than 90 mins. But it is well sign posted. A standard costa coffee but this is on the top end of the spectrum mainly due to the staff. Happy to help out have a chat enhance the experience. It has two floors so more space than you might think. Like some costa there is a book shelf for you to grab a read from ... very nice. Only negative is near the local college so lunch time and after school lots of teenage student but that can give it a vibrant energy some days .

Visited on a Sunday late morning. Parking is available outside but beware of overstaying due to £100 penalty if recorded. Typical Costa, good service and attentive staff. Small but comfortable.

This is a typical costa coffee shop. It’s well presented, clean and tidy. The staff are welcoming and polite. There is ample room for wheelchairs and pushchairs to move around. The sell coconut and almond milk as alternatives to cows milk. For me that perfect. It’s just a shame the the vegan rolls are no longer sold. This is due to low request for them. The assistant went on to tell us that this was just in their shop, you can still get them in other Costa’s. worth a visit

I popped in here for a cup of tea and a fruit compote with muesli. Initial impressions suggested they were well organised and efficient. The place was about 50% occupied and there was only 1 person in the queue other than I. When I received my order and found a suitable spot to sit I noticed I had been served all day decaffeinated tea...not what I ordered but frankly I decided raising the issue with staff was more hassle than it was worth so I had to 'enjoy a cup of very weak unappetising beverage. Not the usual standard one expects of Costa but then again it 's all in who you employ

It a best coffee in Barnsley. Really like design with yellow seaters. Very warm light which makes a good atmosphere.
