Spice Carriage - Barnet

I've not been to this restaurant, but I have had several takeaways (well, deliveries) from it and they have been very good indeed. Food arrives piping hot and delicious, and most importantly exactly as ordered. I'm looking forward to ordering from them again very soon, especially as it is National Curry Week at the moment!

Amazing Indian food!! If you want them to co ka some hung to your requirements their always willing to go out your way to make your meal more enjoyable. Very polite staff def recommend

I'm extremely disappointed by not only the food but the service I've received here tonight. Not only did my order turn up with the most ridiculously tiny pieces of Chicken in it but when I called to speak about it I was told I was WRONG and that I am lying! I had to argue to even get the manager on the phone and when I did, he told me his chefs had told him I was wrong. The food I did eat was greasy, overcooked and bland. All the curries I ordered were padded out with onion or lentils to avoid having to put any chicken in it. We ordered three meals and all three were the same colour, same flavour and just..nothing. SO disappointing!! Trust me. I've been a loyal customer here and believe me, I've noticed the standards have slipped! However, after tonight I'm going to go elsewhere because not only is that NOT the way to handle a complaint but you can't serve mountains of sauce with tiny pieces of chicken in it and expect people not to feel hard done by. I'd seriously suggest you go elsewhere for your food. Barnet has LOADS of curry houses especially on that strip so DONT settle for this place. Head down the hill and look to your right go there!!

I attempted to dine at this restaurant this evening. The restaurant was empty except for one person ordering takeout. I asked for a table and the waiter gestured towards the tables. I sat down and the waiter started to bring me a menu, but then returned to the takeout customer, leaving the menu on another table. Eventually, the waiter came back to the table, began adjusting the cutlery, then stopped and asked me to move to another table. I told him not to worry and that I would eat somewhere else. He responded with, "No problem." I have dined here in the past, but I will not be returning.

I visited this restaurant with my family. The staff were friendly, but overall, I wouldn't choose to return. I agree with other reviewers that the exterior isn't very appealing, but I did appreciate the train coach theme inside. The food was mediocre, nothing particularly impressive. My wife enjoyed her meal, but mine was lacking in flavor and was bland. That's all.
