Superb, inventive take on a baked cod on Sunday roast for sweet!

A relaxing country pub, with open fires, good beer, a decent menu and very good service. we all enjoyed our lunch, finished with a selection at desserts including affogato. we visit the rose and krone possibly 4 times a year and are never disappointed! highly recommended, but in advance book to be sure that a table. the pub is dog-friendly and there are good walks that begin and end from the village.

For lunch and the fire made the room cozy the venison pie and chips were nice with timely service by friendly staff
