Transatlantic - Barcelona

Top notch restaurant. Do not be fooled by modest decor. This restaurant is full of locals for a reason. The food is cooked to perfection. Transatlantic had the place of honour of a second visit (always saved for a favourite) during my recent visit in Barcelona. The first die a lunch spot. For a price-fixe menu you get your beverage, two menu options and either dessert, fruit or a cup of coffee. I had the salmorejo both days and the salmon one day and the chicken the next. The chicken was two nice pieces with fries and while it looked a little plain on the plate it was fall off the bone. The first day I ended my meal with coffee and the second day with the chocolate pudding. If I were in Barcelona longer I would have gone a third time.

Our guide from a walking tour recommended as we were looking for authentic Spanish food not tapas. This was perfect. 3 course lunch meal plus bread and a drink for around 11 euros. Bring your Spanish dictionary as the menu is on a board in Spanish, no English option. We didn’t get what we expected we could have used a translator but it was all delicious.

Amazing place amazing comfort food you pay 10.50 and get two plates and a bottle of wine and bread.....

Comida muy casera, restaurante familiar y de trato familiar. La única pega, el sonido ambiente. Precio, ajustado al momento.

Muy bien lugar para desayunar como Dios manda. Lástima que cierren los findes, porque la fama de esmorzar de forquilla es . Pedí un bocadillo de tortilla francesa y me comentaron que tenían tortilla de patata y de alcachofas recién echa... Lógicamente pedí la de alcachofa, ha sido la mejor tortilla de alcachofas que he probado en mi vida!!!!!!!
