Bidrage med feedbackSadly, we come back every year and eat there several times, in spite of being in Spain! Last year when staying near La Pedrera, we even got a taxi there as we were so disappointed by the tourist tapas trap we fell into on our first night! They are some delightful tapas places, especially if you escape from the tourist trail of the town centre, but we just love this restaurant! For 12.65 euros you get a 5 course meal with all the usual Japanese food. The choice is extensive with a wide selection of dishes and options: salmon, prawns, chicken, duck... It's cooked fresh and taste great. Bottles of cava start at 12 euros! What more could you want? I have also found the service very quick and friendly. Menus in English and French are available. It's is well liked by the locals, which is a positive sign for me! The only reason I could not give it 5 stars is that, when sitting outside after a hot day you get a whiff of the bins. However, with being in Spain, you will usually end up near someone smoking at the next table so that should cover any unpleasant smell! If you are of a sensitive disposition, you will be better off seating inside!
This is a very nice Japanese restaurant next door the the Hotel Silken Sant Gervasi, in the Sant Gervasi section of Barcelona. The food was excellent and the portions generous. The service was somewhat lacking when we went, but that could be due to it being August and most of European workers are on holiday, hence maybe a reduced staff level. They have sidewalk dining area which is on a small quiet street, unfortunately it right next to the communal trash containers. Try the tempura vegetables and their large varied selection of sushi...excellent.
Freshest of fresh sushi and sashimi, other cooked dishes for the more timid. Friendly wait staff, reasonable prices, late night service, home delivery, outdoor seating on a not-too-trafficked street. We've been back several times, each time as good as the one before!
