El Asador Del Bierzo - Barcelona

Our first visit, party of 4 friends, had a very good meal but one had steamed mussels but when they came they were cold. I enjoyed a very good Rabo de Toro a Spanish delicacy. Ox tail stew in English. The second visit the following night 3 of us, I ordered half lamb leg. What actually came served at the same time as the other two was Lamb Chops, the waiter said these are what I had ordered. I checked the menu and called the waiter who took our order and he agreed they were wrong and said I could change the chops for the leg of lamb. I didnt agree as my two friends would have finished eating by the time mein was served. The chops were very fatty and I only ate the meat part on the ribs. After I said these were not nice succulent chops and we paid our bill without any discount or offer of a small schnapps. After going out side we started talking with a German couple who had Tappas and a drink total cost 30€ and they were given a schnapps. We spent 250€ over the two visits and were dissapointed with the bad service.

We went here after a late flight and train journey. It’s very close to Sants station. A proper restaurant still serving food at 11:30 on a Sunday. We ordered some tapas items but the main menu was also available. We didn’t mind the screens showing sport.

Me and my boyfriend stayed have stayed at the hotel directly across numerous times. On our first night we decided to try here as there is limited variety of resteraunts close by. Having looked at the menu outside there was a limited selection that I liked to choose from, however there was burgers listed outside which I was going to chose. The resteraunt was quite empty yet we were sat no more than a few inches beside another English speaking couple. At first this was a bit awkward but we spoke to the couple who were lovely. After looking at the menu some items listed on the outside menu were not available inside; this meant that there was nothing on the menu that I liked When the rude waiter came to take our order he was making faces when my boyfriend only ordered spaghetti and anchovies for himself as if to say “is that it”. From the start we could tell he wasn’t happy we weren’t spending as much as he would have liked, however this was no fault of mine that I did not want anything from the menu. Even if I did the waiters attitude would have put me off the food anyway. When we received our food the waiter kept walking by and sniggering making me and my boyfriend feel extremely awkward. However the worst was still yet to come. After having to ask for the plates to be taken away we had to then ask for the bill. Once we received this the couple beside us started a conversation and we were talking to them for no longer than 2 minutes and the waiter was walking by and staring at the bill as if to say hurry up and pay. He THEN walked by and Interrupted paying customers conversation to ask “cash or card” but in a very rude and rushed manner. The couple beside us then actually turned around and asked what the problem was as the resteraunt was empty. By this time we were mortified and the couple could tell it was because we weren’t spending as much as the waiter wanted, maybe he assumed we couldn’t afford it as we are both young. We felt obliged to pay after this comment, obviously due to the waiters attitude we left no tip. He then actually came over and moved the bill so he could see how much we had given and then made a blatant sigh noise right in front of me, not saying thank you or being pleasant for paying. We have travelled all over the world and I can honestly say I have never been made to feel so humiliated in a resteraunt. Even more affluent resteraunts at the Barcelona marine did not pressure us to leave when we were having drinks. The food was nice, and other stuff we encountered when leaving were pleasant and said goodbye and thank you. However this did not compensate for the way that the other waiter made us feel. We actually travelled further to eat just to avoid giving this resteraunt any more of our money. When we return to Barcelona we will definitely not be visiting here or recommending this resteraunt all due to the one ignorant waiter.

Visitamos el restaurante por segunda vez. es uno de los mejores lugares de la barcelona para disfrutar de todo, desde el servicio hasta la deliciosa comida de alta calidad. Aunque el restaurante estaba lleno de clientes, el servicio era muy rápido y agradable. en este restaurante, toda la comida que hemos probado es increíblemente deliciosa! carne fresca, pescado, mariscos... ¡La paella era excelente! Los postres son deliciosos y de alta calidad! el pastel de queso está hecho de la casa y fue increíble! el placer que recibimos cada vez que visitamos este restaurante vale la pena el dinero pagado por la increíble comida y servicio. todo el personal del restaurante y el propietario hacen todo lo que los huéspedes se sienten cómodos y salen con la mejor experiencia para visitar el lugar. Ciertamente volveremos a este restaurante, que no dejará a nadie indiferente. ¡Gracias al personal y al propietario por un tiempo! ¡Te recomiendo visitar y disfrutar de la comida de este lugar!

Nunca defreuda, un menú con buenos platos, cantidad y variedad. Especialmente el caldo gallego, las especialidades gallegas como las empanadas o el pulpo y las carnes. Camareros amables y que llevan tiempo, eso es importante si repites mucho en los sitios.
