Well, the honeymoon is over. After years of visiting this chicken place, I've decided I'm done. It was bad enough when they eliminated sit-down service, which most people thought was only temporary. Today, I placed a pickup order, and when I arrived, I discovered they now charge a 3.5% fee for using a credit card. When I asked about it, I was told it was to offset bank fees. I'm sorry, but those fees are just part of running a business, and I shouldn't have to cover them. It would have been nice to be informed about this extra charge when I placed my order; at least then I could have chosen to go elsewhere. But regardless, I will be going elsewhere from now on.

I had a wonderful experience with both the food and the staff. I wasn't aware that they were only offering takeout at the moment, but when I mentioned that I was from out of town and on my way home, they went above and beyond to let me enjoy my meal inside the restaurant. I truly appreciate that gesture. The chicken was just as amazing as I remembered.

Another thing I adore about White House is their Hot Rice. If you're not from Barberton, you might not even know what Hot Rice is! But you should definitely stop by and give it a try. While all our local chicken places serve Hot Rice, I believe White House has the best version. If you come to experience our chicken and Hot Rice, you might just become a lifelong fan and discover your own favorite chicken house!

Currently living in Ga. Every time we head to Akron we always eat at least 3 meals from here. Living in kenmore we usually had chicken at least 2 times a month and it was always a treat growing up. It has been a staple in our household for well over50 years. Then best thing. Nothing has changed. The hot sauce,fries and chicken just gives me a yummy glimpse into mypast. I wish we can order it to be sent over state lines. I would gladly pay extra for that great food. Keep it up!!!!!!

I?m from florida and a friend recommended this place the chicken was unique and outstanding! Very juicy chicken. This is NOT health food but oh so good. Worth the trip
