Dairy Queen - Baraboo

The food is pretty good, my favorite place for ranch and fries, except for the fact that there?s cartilage in almost every chicken strip every time I go. it?s not very nice when you bite into chicken and crunch onto something that isn?t supposed to bethere. Please inspect your food better. I will not be going back for chicken or any other meat from there.

We walk in and there is no one behind the counter, not a single table is clean, and once we do place out order and sit down....the food brought to us was wrong and cold! All 3 fries were cold and a burger had no toppings. They remade them for us,and while we waited, we ate out melting ice cream. Definitely remembered why I never go here

I ordered a birthday cake 48 hours in advance, but when I arrived to pick it up, my order was neither ready nor acknowledged. The male employee printed out my order on the spot, and he was quite rude about having to do it at that moment. As a result, I felt pressured to change my original plan because they made me feel bad about my request. Despite having a printed copy of my order for two days, they neglected it and told me it would take an hour to make a simple cake. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and care for customers. To make matters worse, their resolution was only a $3 discount for not receiving what I had originally requested.

Frustrated, we parked and went inside to speak with a worker. She seemed surprised to learn we hadn't received a receipt either. She approached the cook, who was visible to customers, and inquired about our missing food. It became clear the cook was unaware we were waiting since the order had apparently been cleared from the system. It was evident the cook was flustered, as I overheard him say, "We have other customers; I don’t have time for this." I’m not sure where the manager was during all of this, but it was one of the least satisfying fast food experiences I've had in recent years. The restaurant appeared to be seriously understaffed, as evidenced by a "Help Wanted" sign with applications available on the counter. Unfortunately, I fear this location may remain understaffed and could eventually close down. It’s hard to attract more employees when the help wanted sign offers a pay rate of up to $12 an hour. With a Culver's just down the road, we will be choosing to go there from now on, as the prices are similar, but the quality and service are far superior.

We waited nearly half an hour in the drive-thru, and there were only two cars ahead of us when we arrived. When we reached the ordering point, they asked us to hold on for a moment, which ended up taking another five minutes. If there had been a way to leave the line, we would have done so. To make matters worse, there was no apology for the wait. The fries were cold, and requesting extra ketchup seemed unwelcome. Additionally, they couldn't identify which of our drinks was the diet cola. Overall, we were not impressed.
