Town Hill Market - Bar Harbor

This spacious small-town store in the USA offers amazing sandwiches and salads, perfect for a busy day on Mount Desert Island!

Wow, what a well-organized general store! The staff are very friendly. They offer a deli counter for cold cuts, allowing you to take home your purchases or have sandwiches made on the spot. You can find just about anything you need, along with a variety of large Maine souvenirs like honey, jams, and knitwear. I definitely need to return to try their ice cream! Please note that they only accept cash, but there is an ATM available.

I visited Town Hill Market with my family and we tried their soft serve ice cream. The ice cream was really good, but I thought the price for the small portions was a bit steep. We paid over $24 for 5 small cones. On the bright side, the portion sizes were generous.

Very sweet small market with common essential and bio-health food storage as well. You also have to grab and go baked goods, food and, of course, pizza. And alcohol. In addition, beautiful craftsmanship made by local artists and an end cap made by Maine and grown goodies to bring home.

Best small town market I've found in my travels! A little bit of everything and great family run business. Will definitely stop back anytime in MDI!
