Mckay's Public House - Bar Harbor

We had a fantastic time here! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable, and the food was excellent. It might have been a bit loud and echoing at times, but overall it was a wonderful experience. Make sure to stop by!

First we are very happy that they were open. our waitress Alexis was very sweet, efficient and full of knowing about the food and drinks menus. eating was pretty good. I ordered shrimp scampi and was very happy with it.

Ambiance is very good. Nice place. Good menu. Food came out quickly. Seafood risotto was warm (but not hot enough). Meatloaf was OK. Server (Cory D) was unenthusiastic. No smile, no kindness. Seemed bored with the job. It doesn’t take that much to help people enjoy their meal. If you don’t like the job, get a different one.

McKay's consistently impresses. Their salads are excellent, and the menu features a variety of entrees that include beloved classics as well as innovative new dishes. The service is attentive, all within a charming Victorian-style house. The atmosphere is always warm, friendly, and inviting.
