Greenhill Fish & Chips - Banyule

I have been visiting this seafood shop for the past 2 years and it has recently come under new management. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the changes. The scallops are now huge, compared to their previous small size, and the chips are perfectly golden and crispy, no longer overcooked. The burgers are also larger and more flavorful. Kudos to the new owners, I will definitely be returning every Friday night.

Under new ownership, the neighborhood burger and fish joint serves up really delicious burgers, with standout meat patties and sesame seed buns. However, the cheese is lacking in flavor and has a strange shiny appearance, and the chips leave much to be desired. They are not crispy and golden as expected, but rather pale and soft. The fish dishes are also quite tasty. Overall, a job well done but there is definitely room for improvement.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for years, always ordering the fish and chips. The staff is very friendly, the potato cakes are never greasy, and the chips are always excellent. Although the flake has been a bit soggy at times, it has still been enjoyable.

I can highly recommend the fish and chips.  The flake was perfectly cooked and everything was just right. And a crunchy pickled onion was very nice.

This is the best fish and chips shop in the Greensborough area. Fresh, hot and at a great price! Never disappoint!
