We frequent this restaurant often and find it to be a great value for the quality of food they consistently serve.
We were a bit worried as it was very empty! We were the only people there at 7pm on a Friday. However the service was great and the food was very good. It was modern and interesting without being over intricate. The price was reasonable too.Steak was tasty and nicely cooked, barramundi was perfect.THe chocolate cremeux desert was extemely good, the quince made it just perfect.I can't understand why this place is not a lot busier than it was. If you live near by give it a go, if you live further away its very worth while. One small thing, the waiter could have a cleaner apron!
We have been going to this restaurant for some months now. Unfortunately it is in new hands and the food quality has deteriorated in our opinion. The front of house service is excellent, however and if it wasn't for this we probably wouldn't be returning....a bit disappointing. Noticeably less patrons when we last visited so clearly there is a problem with back of house. The sauces are a little too generous and it would be good to introduce some staples on the menu as it is a suburban venue not inner city. Prices is mid range and the wine list also which could be improved. BYO is allowed with corkage of $10 per bottle which is reasonable. Can become noisy in the back half of the restaurant if there is a function on,,, even with the bi-fold doors closed. Pleasant experience but not as good as it was a month ago.
Came here with my wife at around 6pm on a Saturday night without a booking and the manager was very friendly and courteous in accommodating us! The restaurant filled up pretty quickly soon after, guess we were lucky that we got a table without making a reservation. We were given bread after we'd ordered - always a plus! We'd some snacks to begin. A couple of the sardine bruschetta to start with some pork croquettes which were yum. We then had the crab salad and the seafood pasta. For mains we had the pork loin which is sweet, juicy and tender. My wife had the barramundi which she said it reminded her of eating seafood off the coast of Spain! Our waiter was very attentive throughout the night even though they were packed with patrons. Our water glasses were always tended to and the service is just impeccable! We finished the night with Creme brûlée which was not what I expected. We often seen them served in a ramekin of some sort. And the olive oil cake had some powder that disappears in your mouth! Will come back soon.
