Absolutely fantastic! Even better than many Michelin-rated restaurants in Europe. There’s no downside – the location is stunning. Definitely worth the wait!

The atmosphere was nice and quiet. Staff members Hope and Lynsay were welcoming and professional, offering great recommendations and demonstrating extensive knowledge about the menu. My husband enjoyed the warm Brussels sprout salad and veal, both of which were excellent. I found my tuna tartare and duck served two ways to be absolutely delicious. We have been alcohol-free for over 600 days, but my husband enjoyed Beck's alcohol-free beer. We also loved the bread, dessert, cheese plate, and figs — all equally delightful. The food was inventive yet unpretentious. We make it a point to visit every time we’re in Banner Elk.

They don't advertise. No billboards. No road sign. Miles from each main road are deep in a hidden valley with Grandfather mountain in the background. But they are booked for weeks. That tells you everything you need to know. This place would easily qualify for 2 Michelin stars if it were in a Michelin ranking city. The interior is rustic (but does not smell like a barn) and the food is impeccable.

We dined here for the first time the other night. The food was great. Pre fixed menu with plenty of options for meet eaters and vegetarians alike. The restaurant was full both inside and out. There is a back terrace by the creek that seems pretty cool but we really enjoyed the ambiance inside as well. Rounded out the night with espresso martinis and a tour of the wine cellar. Good stuff! ??
