Bidrage med feedbackI've been pretty much here in time, and the only thing I did not try is your pide. I find the food here to fill very very much, and full of taste; Your portion sizes are also extremely generous. Grief Your pizzas will be made on order, and you really stack the ingredients here, but despite the thick layer of toppings, it does not take too long to cook the pizza, and it's very thoroughly cooked, with the crust right and the cheese nice Melted. Grief The kebabs are also generously stacked before being wrapped and pressed into the grill, and every time it comes perfectly, easily crispy with this beautiful roasted taste. There is also a lot of sauce, and it tends to drop the floor and pick up and make the wrap a little mushy and not too nice to eat it. Grief Snackpacks here come only in a size, and it's pretty big, I usually share it with a friend because I can not quit it alone. Grief The service here is very fast and efficient, though not the friendliest of all time, but they are not rude, sometimes only busy. It is also very cheap here, especially for the amount of food you get, and it is a very cheaper place to pick up another night snack as McDonald's. Grief Tip: Portion sizes here are very generous, and it is easy to appreciate how much you can eat. They also tend to be a bit hard on sauces, so things can describe a little in sauce and taste pretty salty.
Do not always greet you with 'brother' Kebabs are not what they were earlier, snack packs are usually soaked in oil at the bottom. Recommendation: Family Size Chefs Special Pizza
After a long night of driving around the Northern Beaches, I needed a bit of a feed whilst I was heading home. Unfortunately, the only real places to get food after midnight are McDonalds. Driving down Canterbury Road through Bankstown, I had completely forgotten about this place, despite driving past it hundreds of times and I'd seen it busy at all times of the day. I pulled over and headed on in. For a Thursday night, around about midnight it was fairly busy, with at least 10-15 people waiting on kebabs, pizza and HSPs. I ordered my normal kebab order of a mixed with the lot. Paired with a Pepsi it set me back $14.50. Despite it being fairly busy there were plenty of staff behind the counter manning the grills, spits, and pizza oven, and my kebab was ready in about 5 minutes. Due to it being too busy to eat in the little shop, which is deceivingly smaller on the inside than it appears driving past, I headed to my car to devour it. The first good thing I noticed about my kebab was how nice and fresh it smelt as I started peeling back the foil and wrapping paper. I've slowly been put off kebabs in the last couple of years, as every kebab I've eaten drunk or sober has been awful, bar one or two. Admittedly, most of those have been in the city, where they're churned out without love or care for the sake of keeping the turnover of drunk people flowing, and the quality of the ingredients isn't great. This kebab smelt fresh, and you could tell the filling was too. The first bite was pure meat lust heaven. The beef was thick and juicy and not overly oily. The chicken moist, succulent, and not dry as it hadn't been reheated. The lettuce, tomato, onion and tabbouli were fresh, and provided the perfect crunch to accompany the juicy meats. The pita bread wasn't thin and dry, but a decent thickness allowing it to hold the meat and salad in place. It too was fresh which you could tell immediately. It helped to soak up the chilli and garlic sauces nicely which had been distributed over the meat nice and evenly. Because the pita was so fresh, they also didn't need to toast it, or grill the bread. This for me, is always a sign of a good kebab. Don't get me wrong, sometimes 30 seconds under a sandwich press can do nice things to a kebab, but it's usually done when the pita quality is poor, stale, or the fillings are cold and it's a desperate attempt to get some heat into the meat. They certainly didn't skimp out on the meat either. Each mouthful was a huge portion of chicken and beef, with the salad finding a bit of room too. Every mouthful was a pleasure. It took me over 10 minutes to finish, and by the end of it I was more than well satisfied. The pita bread had been packed out with the fillings to the point by the end of it there was a little pile of meat and veg on my lap, which I happily picked and ate. Kinda like the fries in the bottom of the Maccas bag. I was pleasantly surprised by this kebab. I guess I really shouldn't be. One would hope you'd be able to get a good kebab in Bankstown, especially somewhere like this that's been around for ages. Judging by how busy it gets, it has a good following and the consistency must be up there for people to keep returning. I'll definitely be back for a kebab, probably on the drive home after work perhaps. Their pizzas looked quite appetising and tasty too, so I can see me trying out on of them someday. Perhaps when I've a raging appetite. Would Kebab again!
