Masala Authentic Indian Cuisine - Banff

Service from MK was excellent and the food was amazing. It always is. I will definitely continue to be a customer at this great establishment.

We had a lovely dinner at Masala! The food was amazing, especially the chicken was fantastic! We‘ve never had chicken that soft and tasty before! Manjot was a perfect host and managed the waiting list in a fablous manner we directly felt very welcome. Our waiter Abhishek made sure that we had a fantastic evening and was super kind and attentive. The dinner was so amazing that we deciced to come back for our last dinner of our three weeks roundtrip through Canada! :

We ate at this restaurant. the service was ok but the food could do without abundance of oil and masala. The veggies and dals had so much oil that i could actually drain it into another bowl!!! that is just cholestrol looking straigt at me!! we went there the first day they said they didnt take reservations so we had to wait outside for awhile. but the next day when we went in we clearly heard another family who said we changed our reservation from 7pm to 6pm? so i didnt get how ome we were not allowed to reserve and they were 4 people and sow ere we?? anyway when i saw the crowd i assumed it would be a great place but then realised location is key!! they are on the main road and therefore the crowd comes in!

We’re visiting Banff on a Gate 1 Tour and made reservations with friends at Masala for this evening. When we arrived, the table hostess Manjo was so very kind and made sure that we were well taken care of. Our server was terrific as well. The food was absolutely delicious! We dined on palak paneer, dal, butter chicken, rice, and 2 types of naan (coconut and garlic) Yum! I highly recommend this restaurant. I do suggest making advance reservations as this is a very popular restaurant.

Busy restaurant with a slight wait for a table encouraging. But then... disappointing. Unusually, beef offered as an alternative to lamb dishes to my knowledge, we never see that in UK. However, we were mainly on chicken dishes apart from my lamb rogan josh. The biriyani, tikka marsala, butter chicken were ok but I found the rogan josh over oily and with a less appealing taste. Drinks orders were missed and although the service was ok, it was somewhat impersonal. Came away not wanting to linger and somewhat unfulfilled.
