The Canadian Brewhouse (banff)

Very anti vegetarian. Very offensive comments on the menu. Thought Banff was getting better for vegetarians but apparently not

Came here a few weeks ago for ufc night..got one of the worst costumer service i could possibly get. Got seated on a outside patio table so they can get some extra . Banff is a tourist trap remember that!! The table was a low seating table set up in a section of high table with bar stool. Kind of feel desperate to me.. Very odd uncomfortable place to seat watch UFC for hours..poor TV view. There was a bunch of good seating available at this time. I kindly asked for a seat change with the host but got refused big time. I was being told these seat are reserved despite this place not taking any reservations past 4h30-4h45 on ufc night. All lies!! The big guy with glasses at the door is rude as it gets..the only reason he 's working in the costumer service industry is because his uncle is the owner of the place that 's all. Absolute incompetent. Came back yesterday.. and me and my friends were refused at the door because of a honest reviewi sent back then and deleted. Just went on to BP once again. What you can expect for food here is frozen food. The best in Banff National Park!! A true canadian poutine with 3 cheese curd on top like 3 cherry on top of a sundae...and a handful of frozen shredded cheese from Wisconsin. Way to go!!..They even put the canadian flag on top of it..what an experience!! This place now standing at 4.6 star review wich is the same as the Bison restaurant is an absolute shame to me. This place is nothing more than a 3.5/4 star restaurant at best. The only way they stand at 4.6 is because their own staff put 5 star review on their own review so they can get a staff party wich is very pathetic. I let you judge for yourself..

Service was okay, though they initially tried to stuff us in one of their tiny booths in the back, rather than give us a table with a view. The place overall is fine, but it is dark. Bathrooms were out of soap. We had beers and nachos; they may have been the worst plate of nachos I’ve ever had. They were more like a plate of tortillas with a dusting of over cooked toppings. Very little cheese, the chicken was dry and sparse, and we could barely find an olive or jalepeno. Got a side of guacamole, but it was more like a thimble. At least the beer was cold. The rest of the menu seems fine, though pretty standard pub food that’s frozen then fried. We wouldn’t go back.

Trevor and the whole staff were very accommodating to our group of 15 without reservation!! A must-visit in Banff!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Yummy chicken wings be it that they weren't as spicy as hoped. Will be going back for more Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
