Sam's Strawberry Corner - Bandung

People are sleeping on this restaurant. They offer local Bandung cuisines that lean more towards tourist favourites, like siomay, chicken noodles, bakmie, and batagor. They taste quite good, their noodles punch above their weight. Prices are quite affordable too, though several items on the menu feels too expensive. A definite must try.

I'm a longstanding fan of SS and today for the first time unsatisfied with the quality of food and drinks served. I know exactly how they should taste because I always ordered the same. To give them the benefit of the doubt I'd like to think it's due to slow moving of ingredients due to new normal. Strawberry juice isn't fresh, a bit watery. Noodle texture is also not fresh. Wonton filling is halfway stale. I will try again once they get enough business as before so I don't risk being served food and drinks made from stale ingredients.

Love the building design they use as a restaurant. Taste as good as I remember. Especially earthy agitation (they called it juice, I don't complain, tho) and the sweet Yamin Noodles. Do not decide from appearance, her part looks small, but it is really super filling. Order wisely with your friend or family. Your new menu, Gellato ice cream, has special place in your dessert stomach. Save the space capacity a bit small, so the busy times only come with small amounts of companies (about 2-8 persons).
