Bancroft Eatery and Brew Pub

The fryer guy was on point we went. The best naked wings ever, sauce was great too. The fries were also cooked perfectly. Also had a sandwhich and it was good. Great work on the food!!! Keep up the amazing work fry

The best thing about this pub is the staff - they are the friendliest people. The food is consistently delicious and the beer is always served cold. You also get to meet some amazing people there, both among the staff and the customers. The patrons are just as great as the staff.

The fish and chips were amazing, melt in your mouth, but we also had the mushroom flatbread, which for some bizarre reason was listed under entrees ... It was a small thin floppy, soggy round pita... I was expecting an actual long, thick flatbread piled with toppings like what you get at other restaurants, and it was a few toppings sprinkled in the middle, most of the bread was uncovered, and it just flopped around, bald and sparse. Definitely not worth $17. What a joke. We told the waitress and nothing was done to remedy it. We ate it because we were coming off a fast, and hungry, but it was pathetic. Do better!

Service at the bar was great. I really enjoyed our server I wish I could remember her name (she had dark hair . Loved her recommendations. The other servers seemed a little overwhelmed or just pretty slow at getting to tables/unconcerned.Didn't get to try the food as that's not why we went there. Only thing to note is that the beer became flat pretty fast so I didn't enjoy that but we will go again to try it a second time.Also I don't know what's up with the fact that local restaurants can't seem to access hockey games but thats quite annoying. I'm mentioning it so that the owners can go to the provider and say it has been mentioned. *This had no impact on the review*

OK I review a lot. We are Bancroft part timers, 6 mo a year we cottage there and we travel when we are going to Pembroke. Never have been here and it was our anniversary. The place looks very nice, and our server was very nice. She had a cocktail 12$ me a beer on tap $8.50 an app of deep fried cauliflower 12 , which came in a little soup cup. I had a fry 8.50 mostly the outside slivers, felt a little microwavey or heat lamp we both had a pound of wings. 18.50 ea. Wings were maybe a little too cooked. A bit dry and tough and the skin was crunchier than crispy. My wife had a sauced wing, he sauce was baked on.All in two pounds of wing and an app with 2 drinks. 88+a tip. 100 bucks didn't buy all that much.So the food and the value were not there for us being honest. Lovely place and people.But we're not residents, we are those people that I have heard about :
