Bidrage med feedbackWe both chose the trio of meats, featuring bacon, chicken, and lamb. The dish was enjoyable until we reached the chicken, which was thoroughly overcooked. It's a common issue to have dry chicken, but this was on another level—it was nearly jerky-like in texture. On the positive side, I quite liked the Yorkshire pudding; I generally enjoy any type of it, and the accompanying vegetables and lovely gravy were nice as well. Overall, the chicken was disappointing, but aside from that, the meal was quite decent. We'll likely return since it's just a short walk from home, making it convenient for us. While it may not be easily accessible for everyone, it does have a car park, which is a bonus.
We've visited The Easington quite frequently, including a fun quiz night on our last visit. The atmosphere was fantastic—friendly, with affordable entry, and everyone had a great time. The outdoor seating area is also a highlight, featuring a heated patio with modern tables and chairs, as well as a play area for children. On the plus side, the pub is spacious and rarely crowded, making it easy to get a drink at the bar. However, its location presents a downside, as it's situated on a busy main road leading out of Banbury towards Chipping Norton, which can contribute to noise. On the other hand, the value here is excellent, even better than what you'd find in other local establishments. Overall, The Easington offers good value, with affordable food and drinks, but it could benefit from a bit more atmosphere. Despite this, I would still recommend it as a solid choice just outside Banbury.
The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are very pleasant. The food is visually appealing, though it could use more flavor. I recommend trying the wings and onion rings! Otherwise, be sure to bring some seasoning.
