Royal Phuket City - Ban Talat Yai

Me and my partner stayed here in July, the location was great a 5/10 min walk to the Old town (Sunday) market and loads of fantastic restaurants. The staff where always warm and welcoming. The facilities where brilliant we used the gym (club Asia fitness) highly recommend only thing missing was an Olympic lift platform but as it’s all part of the stay price brilliant. We also used the Spa on site (Royal Wellness Spa) excellent 2 hour package very relaxing and reasonably priced. The pool was nice and clean although I imagine in high season you may struggle for a lounger. The breakfast options were good, although on one of the days it was a bit chaotic with majority of guests coming down at a similar time, so some people waited for tables to become free.

Pros: Huge gym with lots of equipment Large rooms Mediocre breakfast There is a pool Cons: Old room bathroom (bathroom seriously needs a renovation our shower had some mildrew our sink drain was clogged Pool has no umbrellas or towels Inconvenient gym staff policies (i.e. the gym pool were outsourced by the hotel their staff would not provide any pool towels claiming they ran out and only had bath towels but then wouldn't give out the bath towels saying they're not part of the hotel! Staff overall were not very friendly

Room is clean, breakfast is good located on 19th floor of hotel with panorama view which you can enjoy city view and sea view. Location is good, can walk to old town and many great local restaurant.

Love it. The gym is great. There is live piano music downstairs and a rooftop bar with an incredible view. There is also a spa where you can get a massage, a pool, and a steam room, usually with traditional Thai herbs.

Fantastic hotel definite 4star quality, very clean spacious rooms and great views on upper floors, roof top dining and bar with views of Phuket town and sea views. Very friendly reception team fast check in, amazing on site gym and swimming pool. Within walking distance to Old Town Phuket, 7 Eleven just outside hotel and next to 7 Eleven nice family ran Thai eatery with local prices. would definitely stay here again when in Phuket.
