Kabul House - Balwyn North

I wanted this local restaurant to be good but unfortunately it was the worst food I've ever paid for. The food had been cooked who knows how long ago & was microwaved - soggy, tasteless & basically inedible! No wonder we were the only diners! Dont waste your time & money, there are good restaurants right across the road. Shame!

Great food! Eggplant was amazing as were the rice and the kebabs! Serving size was perfect. Will definitely go back! Friendly staff. Lamb Shanks fell off the bone. Dips were great.

Having been told to meet friends at a restaurant called Persian House, we were surprised to fond the shopfront labelled Kabul House. Perhaps this geographic confusion could be remedied.The welcome was friendly and the enthusiasm for the food obvious. Dishes were tasty, it's BYO and the prices reasonable.There is nothing flash about this place but it was a good venue for friends to get together. There is a small car park at the side of the block of shops and plenty of on street parking.We would go back.

Pleasant setting and staff. Plenty on the menu to choose from. We sampled the traditional curries, which were ok (perhaps the wrong choice on our part), the seasoned kebabs were good but the dip was plain and bread was cold in places which was quickly replaced (seemed to have been defrosted). Perhaps it was the particular Sunday night we were there but the Gentleman seemed a little disinterested and this was the first time I have ever received the bill at the table, then got up to pay and then the bill had to be recalculated again. The wife was much more relaxed and friendly. The food was OK but nothing special.
