Merricks Creek - Balnarring

This is what a peninsula winery experience should be, friendly and relaxing not the corporate circus of the larger peninsula wineries.The $15 tasting plates were fantastic particularly the pate and well matched to the Pinot .We had to wait for the pos machine to recharge and were given free coffees whilst we did. To the owner whatever you are paying the young blonde guy working yesterday "double it" I'll be back

I was looking for a winery to visit in Mornington that was not overrun with tourists, and I had a fantastic experience at Merricks Creek! The atmosphere was perfect for a casual lunch, with a cozy fireplace at the cellar door patio and restaurant to keep us warm on a cold, rainy day. Despite the weather not being ideal for a winery visit, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there as the food and wine were both exceptional. We tried a glass of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which paired perfectly with the delicious small sharing plates - I highly recommend the goats curd, chicken liver pate, and prosciutto crispy bread.

Yesterday, we visited the Mornington Markets and decided to check out a nearby winery. After looking on Tripadvisor for recommendations, we came across this amazing gem. It has a 5-star rating for a reason! The staff were incredibly attentive, the wine was delicious, and the view was breathtaking. The 'share plates' were also mouthwatering. If you're looking for a place that offers all of these amazing qualities, do yourself a favor and visit this charming winery. On a sunny day, make sure to reserve a table on the deck for the best view. We will definitely be coming back to this place again.

Merricks Creek was recommended to us by a lovely couple whom we met at wine tasting at another local winery - and we are forever thankful to them! I have now added their amazing Pinot Noir to my favourite list. The food on offer was fresh and delicious, the owners were very welcoming and happy to chat with the guests - they have such passion for their wine making. An amazing setting . Time to order another case!

Excellent and highly recommend. Small winery with lovely outside patio and indoor seating areas. They really helped me create a surprise for my guest by setting the table for 2 instead of 3 and not rushing us to order when that person was late. Great customer service. We shared 3 delicious plates - plenty of food and all delicious, as was the wine - both red and white. So many wineries are so overpriced, this one is not and is great for a casual lunch or mid-afternoon snack. At the winery we had wonderful surrounds and could easily converse, unlike noisy restaurants near it. Will definitely be returning.
