Fast, efficient service in a bright, open space that feels welcoming. The owner is friendly and caring and comes around to check in with you. My mom and I ordered the chicken yakisoba lunch special, the chicken katsu curry, spicy tuna on crispy rice, and dragon roll. All was delicious! The one thing I would critique is to add more chicken cutlet to the curry dish. The chicken I had was not very large compared to other Japanese curry places. Otherwise, all is delicious here! Support local!

You can never go wrong with miso soup and shrimp tempura! They make for a satisfying lunch, especially on a rainy day. Both items are listed as sides on the menu, which means the portions are modest. The miso soup is made with soybean paste and fish stock, and it includes tofu and seaweed. The shrimp tempura is light and airy yet perfectly crisp. It's hard to find quality Japanese cuisine, so Haru is truly appreciated. I could keep coming back for more!

"This is the best sushi place I've ever been to! The sushi was fantastic, and I particularly loved the Frankenstein roll and the Drachen roll. The crispy tuna rice was amazing too! Their Thai tea was also excellent; I usually don’t find good Thai tea anywhere else, but I loved it here! I can’t wait to return, whether dining in or having it delivered to my home. I would definitely recommend this place!"

The food we ordered is average. Smaller portions than what I'm used to. The curry does not have chicken in it just the basic carrots, potatoes, onions the consistency was more watery. And it would have been better if they separated the katsu bc it wasn't crispy when we got home.

We were mostly served by the owner who was incredibly attentive and very kind. He hand made our sushi and it was some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Super fresh and exactly the way we ordered it. I will be back to this place every time I’m in California!
