Michels Patissereie - Bakewell

I have previously enjoyed a breakfast wrap for takeaway on Saturday mornings, and it was really good. However, the last two Saturday mornings, I lined up to place my order and waited patiently. When it was finally my turn at the counter, the lady working there walked off and disappeared into the kitchen. I waited for quite some time last week, but she never returned. After waiting for 10 minutes, I decided to go somewhere else. Unfortunately, today's experience was the same. I am disappointed and will not be trying again.

Michels is situated at the back of the Bakewell shops and is a bright and spacious cafe with indoor and outdoor seating options. They serve breakfast, brunch, a variety of delicious cakes, and snacks. The coffee is top-notch, and the friendly and efficient service makes it a fantastic spot to unwind after a shopping trip.

I took my two children out for breakfast and ordered the delicious avocado smash toast for myself. My kids absolutely loved the caramel slice and can't stop raving about it. They keep asking for more, so I think it's safe to say that this restaurant is now our go-to spot for breakfast every week.

Been here twice in the past month, first time for a coffee and a quick bite to eat which was fine but the 2nd time for a meal was not very good. The salad that comes out is sooo plain and missing several things listed on the menu. One order was forgotten and another person with us didn't like the meal. The coffee here is great, I suggest that a reset and get back to basics is needed to make sure that you stay open.

Two lovely breakfasts here been before and will definitely be back. Good value for money and nice menu choice
