Grandmas Tamales - Bakersfield

I've been hearing about this place for a few years, and I finally had the chance to visit. I ordered the Grandma Special, which included a langua sope, carne asada taco, pork tamale with rice, and beef. Each dish was truly special in its own right. The rice was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked, and even though I was full, I still felt like I could eat more. I give this little restaurant five stars!

The food was delicious, and I’ll definitely be back. It was a bit crowded when I left, but that’s probably a good sign. The parking was somewhat limited and a bit tight, but again, the quality of the food makes it worth it.

Beautiful deceptions, they have many other Mexican foods. make sure they let them know if they want to cause them to be swung and paprika. the menu does not specify.

What a wonderful place to get authentic Mexican food. that never disappoints. the food is fresh and tortillas are made fresh daily. the prices are reasonable.

Tamales!! Oh yes!! These pork tamales were absolutely delicious! They were delightfully spicy, just the way I like them, and the sauce had an incredible flavor. The chicken tamales were also really tasty. The wet burrito was outstanding! I ordered it with carne asada, and the meat had great flavor! I’m not a fan of onions, so I requested none in my burrito, but I found a few nonetheless. It was still really good, just a slight mood killer. Overall, though, it was fantastic. When I return to town, this will definitely be a place I visit again!
