El Portal West Mexican Grill Cantina

My family and I tried the breakfast buffet at this restaurant and it cost less than $50 for three people. They offer delicious posole and Chile Verde, as well as rice, beans, various potato options, a taco and omelet bar, and adorable dessert cups. If this place weren't a half-hour drive from my house, I would definitely come here every Sunday morning.

The restaurant offers typical Mexican cuisine in a pleasant location. The food and service are satisfactory.

I attended a funeral reception at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was decent. However, they were not fully prepared for the event and we had to wait around 30 minutes before being seated.

Chorizo nachos and Toreados (large bacon wrapped Jalapenos with cheese) are the best.

I'm not sure why or how, but wowzer, the worst mexican I've ever had, and I had something super basic flautas. I hate saying that more than I can express, but the flavor was off in everything. Very off. The sour cream was the strangest consistency I've ever seen... similar to a blob of Elmer's Glue, halfway dry. Like silly putty. The guacamole had an off flavor as well. Idk, guys... 100% won't go back.
