Came on a Monday night. They said it was 25 minutes waiting to sit outside. Wing to the bar and waited 15 min to order a drink. It appeared the solo bartender filled every drink in the restaurant. I finished my drink. Missed inside despite the outside seat request, which would have been an additional 30 min wait per host. It was too hungry to wait for an outside seat. The waitress went 3 times from our table and told us no word, although her section has 2 tables full and 4 tables open. asked a walk through the employee when we wait an order for 20 minutes on table) and she reacted in a solid loud voice with the look of the devil.... I'm not serious. She looked angry and stressed. I smiled and shared, I just wanted to make an order. After 25 minutes waiting at the table, the waitress finally approached us and asked for our order. Minimal eye contact from the waitress....she looked depressed and tired. The food was pretty good, 3 out of 5 stars. We had sushi rolls and Edamame. The staff seemed checked out, tired and over... and completely lacked customer service skills. Overall the service was...0 out of 5. And the Pinot Noir was also terrible Santa Barbara)...0 out of 5. This place has a lot of potential when employees' attitudes improve. You also need better staff.

Another evaluator said it quite well acceptable Japanese food for a mountain town. Whether in NYC or Austin, I love getting ramen and grandmakase. After a long day cat skiing (although, fail) a warm bowl of ramen sounded amazing. I wouldn't say it was great, but I found it perfectly acceptable and only the thought to have this compared to pizza/burger/steak and potatoes made it taste much better. Our group also ordered some pot stickers, which seemed to be frozen as before packed, no big thing given the location. I order a rainbow roll that was a bit dirty, the fish were frozen, I guess. The rest of the group was happy with their food and reasonable prices, so do not try to knock this place. Service was not a mess to order for a while, because the group was undecided. The waitress was very nice and took care of us well enough. Food is 3/5 Service 4/5

Fun little Fusion Sushi place to which the locals come. Not the most authentic sushi, but still delicious and fresh. Off the main tourist area of Truckee but definitely back.

Firdt time in Truckee and inly a few Japanese food around where we were staying. I would say this place a gem. We were sat at the sushi bar . The sushi chef was very good and helpful. I love the Spider roll and the salmon skin, spider hand rolls too!
