Cope's Knotty Pine Cafe - Bakersfield

This place is fantastic, and the food is enough to satisfy a big guy who is 6'4" and weighs 250 pounds.

I really enjoy Knotty Pine; the food is always fantastic and the staff is friendly and attentive.

For lunch, they have the best pastrami this side of New York, along with fantastic burgers. I'm a huge fan of their chicken sandwich as well. The service is consistently excellent; they keep your coffee cup filled, and it seems they treat their staff well, as many employees have been there for years and always wear a smile while working. The only downside is that there's usually a wait, but that's just a testament to how beloved this place is. It’s definitely worth the wait! Honestly, I wish they would open for dinner, too. This really is my favorite restaurant, and I would love to see them offer dinner service!

This restaurant is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. I will definitely be coming back!

The waffle was huge! However, the overall experience wasn't great. The portions were small. On the bright side, the service was excellent.
