Cold Stone Creamery - Bakersfield

The ice cream at Rosedale Cold Stone is delicious, but the customer service is lacking. The workers there don't seem to know how to treat their customers well. They always appear unhappy to serve anyone. One time, I found hair in my ice cream, and when I told the worker, she reacted angrily towards me, as if it was my fault for finding hair in my ice cream.

After celebrating a birthday dinner, we decided to visit this restaurant. We drove past Dewars and almost went to Rosemary's instead. Upon entering, we found the lobby to be messy with tables and chairs scattered and dirty. The outdoor tables were also unclean despite the nice weather. While walking to our table, I spotted a live roach on the floor and discreetly disposed of it without telling my party. Despite wanting everyone to have a good time, I couldn't shake the thought of the roaches. After finishing our ice cream, I decided to use the restroom where I encountered two more roaches. The sight of three roaches in broad daylight made me wonder how many more were lurking behind the counters and walls. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this restaurant anytime soon, if ever.

The ice cream at this restaurant is great, however, they do not give you the option to choose between a cone or a cup no matter what size you order. The only choice is to purchase the cone as an additional item. It is easy to use app promotions in-store, and the staff are efficient and accommodating. Baskin Robbins is my top choice for ice cream, with Cold Stone Creamery coming in as my second favorite.

So I gave this a two star because I love the ice cream. The service however is lacking which normally wouldn 't mean much when it 's such a quick in and out process. I ordered the everybody 's size, their largest size, because I like to have a little bit at a time and it lasts me a long time. Not this time. When I got home and opened my carton I realized that the young lady serving me only filled my carton halfway. It is $15 for this carton and she filled it HALFWAY. I don 't care about the money, I care about the principal. If you order a rack of ribs at a restaurant and get a half rack you would say something. On top of it I tipped her very generously because I respect the fact that they have to physically mix the ice creams for everyone and most likely aren 't compensated by others very well. So I will continue to go to this location, but I will make sure that I do not order from this girl again. It 's pure laziness and disregard for customer service. Cold stone you make great ice cream, but need to work on your employees actually giving the customer the product that they ordered!

I would highly suggest their signature ice creams. The staff is very nice. They also work very fast. I posted a picture of the statues in front using a 360 camera. All in all, it is a great place to go. The family loves this place. It is a nice special treat after dinner. If you are in the area, it is well worth stopping by for delicious ice cream.
