Frontier Express - Baker City

Well, damn. My mouth was watering after reading reviews of the amazing food which I was fortunate enough to enjoy on one occasion. For some reason, they're closed at noon on a Thursday in July. No explanation on the door. No hours listed. Very disappointed and a weird way to run a burger joint. ‍

We tried to visit today for lunch but sadly they were closed. Not sure if it's permanent or just for the day and the hours are wrong here

We stopped in Baker and found this gem. My Rueben was brined for 48 hours and hand cut fabulous! My husband's French Dip was cooked perfectly and with all the right seasoning. Definitely recommend this train car restaurant.

Great little stop on our road trip to Boise. Delicious burgers, excellent fries, fast service, good prices. Would stop by again.

I don't know what changed, but they definitely changed their attitudes here. I have tried the burgers with homemade chips, and they are delicious! I still get unlucky from time to time when their randomly closed, but that seems to be a rare occurrence in general.
