The River Grill - Bairnsdale

Great meal, all the group enjoyed their meal, and the service. There were 12 people in our group, as well as another large group.

Really good food, good serving sizes and a great atmosphere. I visited with my family for dinner and was very happy. We booked on the day, a Saturday, and it was good we did as it was booked out by dinner time. The menu is interesting and although at the slightly pricier end, it is value for money. Friendly service too. I had the creme brulee for dessert, which I shared with my sister - I don't think I'd eat a full serve alone as it is rich and a decent size. It was amazing. The down side was the meal was a bit cool by the time we recieved it.

The Loft is a great little restaurant. The meal was absolutely delicious. Great Staff. More suitable for couples, but they catered for our kids 9-12-13. If you have the money take the kids.

New owner's took over in Nov 2016 and it is now called THE LOFT. We have a lovely light tasting lunch with a glass of wine, beautifully prepared and served. We wish them well.

We stayed at the hotel next door and so wandered in without looking it up in advance. So glad we did. Very delicious vegetarian food. Gnocchi was really mouthwatering. The local wine was great. Friendly owners and staff.
