Hook Reel Cajun Seafood

The seafood boil was excellent, but I was disappointed that they forgot to bring me the ramen as I had wanted to try it for my review. Despite that, this restaurant is still a great place for seafood at an affordable price. I definitely recommend it.

I recently tried the Beachside Boil with added mussels at this restaurant, and it was by far the worst boil I have ever had. The head-on shrimp was mushy and difficult to peel, the potatoes were undercooked and hard, the eggs were overcooked, and the sauce was not what I ordered and hardly present in the bag. I have been a regular customer at this place and have usually had good experiences, but this time was a major disappointment. When I called the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction, the manager was unhelpful and told me to contact DoorDash, even though they were not responsible for the food quality. Considering the pricey nature of these boils, I was quite upset to have to throw the entire meal away.

Ordered the shrimp basket. Fries were a little tough with a rubbery consistency. Fries were also cold upon arrival. Shrimp no season; bland. Will never order from this restaurant again.

The fries were not fresh, but the fish tasted good. I did not enjoy the new recipes they had.

This was the smallest boil Ive ever seen. I have ordered the same meal several times before and it just was not the same. The price has gone up and the portion has definitely gotten smaller. They did not even put the corn inside the bag, it came separately.
