Tafelspitz & Sohne Bad Nauheim

Was there this Thursday evening with three friends to commemorate our achievements of the week and to do on Friday and next week.Although one of us had made a reservation, we sat next to the door (coming in, door opening to the right, we sat on the left so got all the draft) which is not so cozy and pretty cold in the colder time of the year. The place was buzzing, so we did not even make an attempt to ask for another one.Waiters very promptly brought menus and we chose drinks and food. It took a while until we were served, but not unruly long. Those who had wine by the glass were happy with the quality, I had a perfect Kostritzer which I think was even draft beer.There was nothing that left room for improvement in the food, and here is what we had between us:Soup of Tafelspitz, Flammkuchen, Tafelspitz traditional version (with horseradish), venison ham, cheese burger, Frankfurter GrueneSauce with caviar and eggs and steamed potatoes main course size (too much for me), Kaiserschmarrn for sweets and delicious espressos to finish a great night with.All in, service very good despite the place being so very busy, food excellent both in terms of quality and quantity, drinks same, prices on the high end but in line with local level. A special location to enjoy, thanks team!

The atmosphere is amazing and at the beginning service was good. But then the waiters became unfriendly. I was blamed there when I visit the restaurant with my collegues. The waiter didnot want to serve is because we wanted to sit outside.

As a regular visitor to Bad Nauheim, I enjoy seeing new restaurants open and trying them out. I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions now and have always found the food to be very good, the environment excellent (beautiful patio for summer months) and the service to be very warm and welcoming. The service may be perhaps a little relaxed at times but certainly not bad or poor in my experience. This has become somewhat of a favourite restaurant for me to invite friends to when we meet in Bad Nauheim and so far have never been disappointed. Certainly one of the more expensive restaurants I regularly visit in Bad Nauheim but in my opinion a fair value to the quality of food and environment.

Took a friend of ours here for a meal. Was not that pleased with the meal which consisted of root vegetables, cold roast beef on top, with some sort of sauce spread all over it.But I was incensed when paying the bill for €83.80 with two €50 notes not to receive any change. Because I said 'Danken' to the waiter he presumed to help himself to the change as a tip! When I want to give a tip I will tell them to keep the change, or when change is being handed over to me tell them - that is okay. Was not prepared to cause a scene, particularly in a foreign country, in front of our very good German friend.

I have visited a few times and each and every time I have had a first class experience. Service is fantastic.
