Bier-Comptoir - Bad Harzburg

This is a down-to-earth bar with a good choice of beers. Food is served, but the accent is on beer (and schnapps) drinking at the bar - sorry, comptoir. It is frequented by regulars mostly but was friendly enough to a stranger (and foreigner) like myself. Good for tanking up slightly before hitting one of Bad Harzburg's plentiful but mostly sedate restaurants.

The service was friendly in this non-smoking pub. There were four different draught beers to sample. This is clearly the cosiest drinking establishment in the town.

Quiet, good service. More choice than a Kniepe. Today there are great 80's tunes playing from Depeche Mode to Bowie. You won't hear that anywhere else in Bad Harzburg! Probably a compiled by an eighties fan. A place for that 30 to 60+ crowd that don't fit into the elderly tea and cake slot that permeates many over heated crowded cafes. Small bites to bigger meals can be had here. Some outdoor seating. I love the green and dark wood interior. Understated but a cool quiet place.

Came here since other places were closed. Offering some beers and the food is okay. Nothing exciting but okay and affordable. Not a must to eat, but no punishment either.

We just drank something here. The cocktails have cost, the ambience is top and service super.
