Gasthof Kalßwirt - Bad Aussee

We reserved our table by phone the day before. On arrival we took the liberty of moving the table a few centimeters towards the shade without disturbing anyone or damaging anything. The waitress immediately told us that this was not possible, and we looked at her in astonishment. The reaction from her was that we should close our eyes or leave the place if we wanted to. We did that and will certainly never visit this inn again. Incidentally, the guests in the garden just shook their heads at the waitress' statement.

Many thanks for the great stay! Small but fine owner-managed inn, where the owners personally take care of their guests with passion. Nice quiet room typical of the region, delicious cuisine and great breakfast. Ideal for exploring the Ausseerland. We'd love to come back. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

We stayed here last night. Heidi made us feel very welcome. The food and hospitality were lovely. Our language skills are poor! Heidi helped us to interpret, and learn a few words and phrases along the way. We had fun. The town is also well worth looking at. We met a couple at breakfast who were on a walking holiday and shared a few routes for us to look up next time we pass through. Thanks again Heidi.
