La Curra's Bakery - Azusa

This was our first visit, and it was fantastic. The pork tamales were delicious, and the bread was incredibly fresh. We will definitely be back!

I visited the Boyle Heights and La Puente areas and really enjoyed the birrotes, also known as bolillos – they're excellent! My favorite, though, has to be the mini conchas.

This restaurant offers the best bread and tamales I've ever tasted, along with delicious tostadas, ham, cream, and salad. They start serving tamales fresh from the pot at 5 AM, and they're absolutely delightful. I love their cinnamon coffee and champurrado, which pair perfectly with a chocolate concha. What truly enhances my experience, though, is that the cashiers and bakers are always cheerful and in a great mood!

Tasty chicken tamales but typically sell out fast if you don't go early. The pastries are great and the staff is very friendly. They're closed on Mondays so keep that in mind if you plan to go.
