Restaurante Adega das Azenhas

The restaurant is awesome, big with good decoration rustic, and no TV (big nice bonus). It's very lively and very popular indeed... I spend around 90mns inside and there was always queue to come in. I was lucky to find a table... better get a booking to be sure. Besides the generous wine list you can choose between starters/fish/meat. I order lamb stew (today's dish) it was very good, tasty and a good portion. Nice wine. As downside some of the waiters seem lost I gave the sign that I was ready to order.. and they just crossed by my table for a long period of time without any notice until what it felt like one of the owners came to get my order. Good person that one. He gave me a bit of dessert.. since the one I wanted was sold out. Feels like it's The Restaurant of the village (and the area for that matter).. and it's easy to recommend.

Couple in our 60’s travelling from Canada At the end of our Sintra tour our local tour guide took us to this restaurant Very enjoyable experience They have buffet style for 25€ a person Included appetizers which were plenty and delicious than we had fish dishes both of us fresh tasty The wine Portuguese style let it flow One big complaint though we can never save room for desert!!! The owner big man big smile artist soul brought a bottle at the end of the meal for the saude I think it was fire water or racket fuel but what a nice gesture When we get there the restaurant was empty but we were a little early got packed by the time we finished After a great meal a beautiful stroll to see the city which is gorgeous If you are in Sintra try to make it here

Excellent food, service and value for money. We can highly recommend this restaurant. Well worth a visit!

We really liked this restaurant. It lies at a 5 minute walking distance from the picturesque Vazenhas do Mar village. It is quite large with a nice interior (a.o. a huge wine press at the entrance). The menu had a nice choice of dishes at very reasonable prices. The portions were ample and the food was good. The house wine (with their own label) is a good buy as well. We will certainly go back there again.

Large and friendly home-style restaurant. Excellent fish selection, especially the best sardines we found on the coast above Lisbon. If ordering a whole fish, the choices can be quite large though always fresh! Plus check out deserts from the case. And many paintings on the wall are by the host.
