We really enjoy our neighborhood fish and chip shop, but recently it has been closed more often, which is disappointing. The food is freshly cooked and the portions are generous, making it a good value for the price.

I live on the far side of town from Ocean Wave Fish Bar, but I travel every Friday evening to buy fish and chips for my wife and me. There are several fish shops closer to me but I still prefer to travel the 8 mile round trip to get the best. The proprietor and his staff welcome me like a friend not just a customer, and the food is always freshly cooked. It means having to wait for your order to be cooked while you wait, but it is so worth the wait, and the conversation whilst waiting is always so friendly and topical. I've been using this chippy for about 3 years now and would not consider changing.

Good choice of menu vegetable spring roll or garlic mushrooms I have as vegetarian. Others in the house have lots to choose from. There is chicken or burgers, sausages or pies.
