The prawn beignet was badly undercooked with the batter neither crispy nor done, the sesame seed encrusted fish was bland and had a poor texture, the Sichuan porc, (listed as spicy) was not and was also bland. Service, with the exception of a charming young Korean man who studied at the hotel school in Crans, was on a par with the cooking. The wine list has an interesting selection of wines from the Valais with some well known small producers featured. We had a very pleasant rosé from Maurice Zufferey whose winery is just outside Sierre, down in the valley. It would be nice if this could turn out to be a winner but on present showing, unlikely.
