The Cornerhouse Bakery Cafe - Axminster

We stopped by for a drink on New Year's Eve and received a warm welcome right away. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. The interior was nicely decorated, offering plenty of seating both inside and outside. We struck up a conversation with two male staff members who were incredibly friendly and helpful. They mentioned they had a spare room available, which was a single but could accommodate a Z-bed if we wanted to stay; however, we had already booked somewhere else. The drinks were reasonably priced. The room we saw was beautiful, and we've decided that we will definitely return to stay and dine here. I highly recommend this place; it remains as lovely as ever with its warm and welcoming staff. They’re also getting ready for Halloween with a party on October 27th. We had another wonderful stay at the hotel and I recommend the King Room; it was lovely, spacious, and the bed was big and comfortable.

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon while traveling home for dinner. Although all the tables were reserved, they managed to fit us in since we were in a hurry. I noticed that no other local restaurants offered a decent gluten-free menu, but when I spoke with the manager, he mentioned that they make an effort to keep most items gluten-free, including the Yorkshire puddings for their Sunday roasts. There were plenty of excellent options available, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. The food and drink selection has great gluten-free choices.
