Smashburger - Avondale

They are closed on Sunday even though it says open on google maps

The door was locked after opening. I stood there for about 5 minutes and almost left right as a worker came and opened the door. She didn't acknowledge it or apologize or anything. Instead she argued with a co worker about it with me standing there. I don't eat beef but I used to always go there for the black bean burger. It was really good. Well they got rid of that. So I ordered chicken tenders. I would've gone somewhere else if I knew I was going to eat chicken but I was already there. I also ordered smash fries. The same girl took my order and she had ZERO people skills or customer service vibes. Probably not the best employee for the customer-facing position. While waiting for the food, I walked back up to ask for a second plate. The girl didn't acknowledge me but the guy in the kitchen saw me and came out. HE was great and very polite. Then I got my food. The regular fries (not smash like I ordered) were very cold but the chicken burned my mouth it was so hot. Just would've liked both items to be edible. It was a lot of money for the meal to be incorrect and meh. Then as I left, again, no interaction from the girl standing there. I don't know what happened because this place used to be great.

Smash Burger should be Trash Burger. Freezer to Microwave. Disgusting. Service was sub-par, which seems to be the norm these days. First and last time for us. If you are accustomed to dog food, then this is the place for you.

I have always loved this place but my last experience was really bad. I got the brisket burger... the brisket was very chewy, sponge like, not good really not even edible. My fries were ice cold. And the extra sautéed onions were nearly completely uncooked raw. The whole meal was pretty much very disappointing ?

First of I couldn’t even dine In or order anything I literally stepped foot in there with my husband and everyone was waiting for their food and someone had mentioned to me it was a 30 minute wait which was literally a customer who told me that and then two of the young girl employees that were up front told us they weren’t taking anymore orders so literally telling us to leave because they’re not going to give us service like okay ??? And it was literally 1 pm on a Sunday it wasn’t close to closing hours for them to not attend me
