When you want a Chicago dog without the hassle of going to Chicago. This is the real deal. Vienna beef. Poppyseed bun. Pickle, hot peppers, tomatoes, and celery salt. When I want the real deal…. One thing to note. These guys steam the bun. I always ask for a non steamed bun. I can’t stand soggy bread.

Will definitely go back! This was mine and my sisters first experience here along with our Dad, who'd been here many times. We said we'd like to bring our individual families here to experience it too. We all had the Italian beef sandwiches. Our Dad had his dipped and we had au jus on the side. Dad had fries and we had the onion rings. Those were the best onion rings but I wish they gave you a few more especially with the upcharge. The fries were fresh and hot as well. Highly recommend, I wish they were closer and want to try other menu options. Great first impressions! 3/29/24 Skip's doesn't disappoint. I'm more disappointed in myself for not trying their chili dog yet! I went there specifically for one and I got curfuffled by the lest side menu and totally missed the other two! But, I got the Italian beef with bell peppers instead of hot peppers this time with onion rings. All on point and worth it. I'll absolutely be going back for that chili dog though!

Italian beef sandwiches are extremely small and have very little meat. They should change the name to Chgo fraud!!

Skips Chicago Dogs was excellent for lunch. It was true to Chicago roots. The hot dogs and Italian beef tasted like I never left Chicago. The fries were also a great add on to the meal. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back when in Atlanta.
