John Christ Winery - Avon Lake

Love lambrusca, niagara, peach and raspberry and ice wine When in season. When we go..(at least once a month) we pick up a pizza, or wing or dinner on the way there and usually drink 2 bottles there and take 3-4 bottles home.

I use to go there years ago. The wine had too much sulfides in it and it was very sweet. The price per bottle was pretty cheap, the ambiance was nice, kind of a chalet or farm. It backs up to a golf course, which added to the scenery. Local people tend to visit there and they are nice. It would be a lot better if the had some better wine.

Been going to this place for years! One of my favorite local wineries.

We stopped in here last night after dinner. My fiancé always talks highly of it and we both love their special blend wine! Truth be told I’m not a huge wine gal- if it’s sweet and practically grape juice- I’m all in! When we arrived it wasn’t too busy (which I love) however there were guests and I loved the atmosphere! Everyone was enjoying themselves and it had such a nice vibe! There was live music playing and it was such a cozy feel. My fiancé ordered a glass of special blend and I went with the red sangria! It had blackberry wine and peach with apples floating in it. Delicious! I couldn’t chose between that and the fruit roll up. We enjoyed our drinks and left. I would love to come back to maybe host a little party- as I saw a party going on when we were there, actually two parties!

Nice cozy atmosphere. San Gria was good. Also the wine based mixed drinks are very good.
