Thai Lanna, Hendricks County Hidden Gem. Dining out has undergone quite a transformation as Hendricks County has been able to score some big food hits in recent months. In our opinion, one of the biggest is Thai Lanna, easy to find and conveniently located at E. US Highway in Avon across the street from Wal-Mart, a treasure chest of Thai cuisine.Urban Spoon Critics agree with votes, Thai Lanna boasts a approval rating and not a single comment that is less than gushing. One reviewer writes, The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great! Friendly staff, beautiful restaurant, and the food is just so yummy! Highly recommend In fact, we must agree. Lunch, dinner and after church brunch crowd if you are not opening your horizons then you are missing out. In our visit, we found the portions to be quite nice. Not being as familiar with Thai cuisine as some, we found the staff to be more than competent and patient with questions and special requests. We were immediately seated after being greeted by a smiling, charming host and quickly served water and presented with menus. Table sizes are appropriate and seating is comfortable while decor is pleasant without being an artificial caricature of South East Asia.Thai Lanna, as the name might suggest, serves a range of traditional Thai cuisine which though renowned for spiciness and intense flavors may have you thinking twice, the talented kitchen staff has a deft hand at appropriately spicing dishes according to diner's requests. That said, the spice options are No Spice, Mild, Medium, Hot and what is listed as Thai Hot. In our experience, when a restaurant offers you caution about the heat level of their food, then fools be warned when asking for more than you might be able to handle. Our advice is to err on the side of caution and if necessary, you can always ask for more spice later.The menu offers a number of dishes including:Stuffed Eggplant: Deep fried mixed with ground chicken and shrimp with cilantro, green onion, sesame oil. Served with eel sauce. Delicious. I ordered food from them for the first time yesterday. I was done so I can't say anything about the service. my pad saw ew, but was amazing. the noodles were huge and perfectly cooked, and I loved all the sweet broccoli, carrots, carrots). I added to mushrooms what made it even better. my only suggestion would be to order her eating a level spicier than they usually do. I have eaten thai at many other places and always order medium seasoning. When I was eating my dinner last night, I noticed that it wasn't comparable to spiciness levels I had eaten somewhere. I would have ordered hot.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with great service and a very clean environment. I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5.

Wow, all I can say is wow! If you enjoy spicy food, you will find it here. If you appreciate delicious flavors, you must come here. I am not an expert in the kitchen, but I know good food when I taste it. I tried the Pad Thai with shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. It was a bit spicier than I expected, but I ordered it that way! Despite the heat, I could still taste all the wonderful flavors. The server was fantastic, quick and friendly. This place definitely knows what they are doing. If you are in Avon, you have to stop by this restaurant. You won't regret it.
