The food we received was delicious, however we were disappointed that the restaurant did not have gorgonzola wings, even though they were listed on the menu. Additionally, they refused to honor a 15% off takeout coupon, claiming they no longer accepted them during the summer, even though the coupon was valid through July 15, 2022. Despite their great pizza, their lack of business ethics is concerning. I am not upset over missing out on a $7 discount, but rather the principle of honesty. I have no tolerance for dishonesty.
The food we received was excellent, however, there were some issues with the restaurant. They claimed they did not have gorgonzola wings available, despite them being listed on the menu. The restaurant does make great pizza, but their business ethics were lacking. Although it was only a $7 discount, the principle of dishonesty was unacceptable. Meanwhile, another couple came in claiming they were given the wrong pizza. The employee quickly fixed their order and gave them the correct pizza. He then took the pizza box they brought in, checked if it was warm, reheated it, added some toppings, and gave it to me. It turned out to be our missing pizza, as there was arugula on top. In the end, we ended up with two cold pizzas that had been sitting out for over 20 minutes, and a used pizza that had been reheated. I was very disappointed with the service and food quality. I usually don't write negative reviews, but I had to share my experience at this restaurant. I recommend saving your money and eating elsewhere.
We stopped in Avalon for a day at the beach and decided to check out Fratelli's. They were just setting up for evening service. That means they were putting out tables, in front of the restaurant. They did a really nice job of it, with white tablecloths, real silverware and a cloth napkin something I haven't seen much of. It was impressive. The pizza a pepperoni pie was tasty and we enjoyed eating there. The pie was a bit pricey at $20, but as others have observed, this IS Avalon. We took home the leftovers and they were delicious the next day.
