Bidrage med feedbackOn a beautiful evening we wanted to get a terrace with seating on a Saturday night that tries to book a table just an hour before. we finally came to an end here and were welcome. my friend followed the recommendations of the waiter and was very satisfied....I should have done the same, but unfortunately wanted to take something else. the coq au vin was probably the worst I ever had with very little taste. the cheese car was a trost as they had some very decent cheese options, including their very strong domestic cheese. all in all not the restaurant to recommend to their delightful, though.
We were not bad at this hotel,... good, at least sufficient. but we had dinner there too. the waiter, the best part of the meal, had some excellent skills to open wine in an inventive way, the meal times in one. mostly seductive wise, and generally enchanting. I really believed that the coq au vin (similar to wein) I ordered the most memorable food I ever had and that was it! remarkable for the WORST food I have ever served! my companions have sacrificed nothing better! my advice sleeps there if you have to look at the huge antique motorcycle collection in the wash kitchen, but eat somewhere else! and the price of dinner was exorbitant!
Auxerre is a fascinating place with just a few hotels in the center, le seignelaay is a loogis hotel with a beautiful courtyard. we were 2 nights b b, which cost 189.40€ (incl. a garage for the car that was a short walk away....we ate their first night and was not impressed by our meal times, maybe we chose badly, but it was only 48€ for 2 meals with wein, so I assume they pay for what they get. the hotel is old, so they do not expect to the minute decor (1970's in the did) the bed was more comfortable than it looked out and wifi was pampered. a flat-screen TV, but they had to get the batteries in the remote control jiggle to work it. the room was clean. shower over the bath, but it had at least one shower. no hair dryer. spend the continental never tee or coffee in the rooms? breakfast was ok. friendly staff
We enjoyed a lovely meal here, it was in a little side street and is part of the Logis group. It had a little court yard set with tables and also a indoor part which we chose to eat in, lots of charm. We had a...set menu each, there was a choice of about 3 dishes for each course. We enjoyed all of the food, my husband started with local ham and salad while I had a salad with egg, pine nuts and hams. I followed with (there translation)**** in a creamy red wine sauce with mushrooms and potatoes, while hubby had Hake with vegetables. We both decided to finish with local cheeses, on the menu it said 3 local cheeses, we asked the waiter if he could put our cheeses together and choose the selection for us, he returned with a plate with 8 different types of cheese and told us to eat them around the clock, started with a mild then up to a strong then back down to mild again, very, very enjoyable. We enjoyed a bottle of red wine with our meal. The total bill came to 78 euros. Certainly reccomend
I stayed at the Le Seignelay Hotel previously, but last fall was the first time I had eaten in the restaurant. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner; everything was so fresh and so authentically French. Even if you aren't staying at the hotel,...I recommend you try the food. You definitely will be glad that you did.
