This is probably the place where I have found the most authentic Chinese food in Texas. My family and I order takeout from here at least once a month. The pros are the high quality, consistency, and variety of the food. The cons are the location of the restaurant and the shopping area, which are not ideal, but I did not hold it against them in my review.
I recently visited Asia Cafe and was extremely disappointed with my experience, both in terms of food portions and service. First, I ordered the same dish for takeout that I had previously enjoyed while dining in. To my dismay, the takeout portion was noticeably smaller, despite the price being the same. This disparity felt like a rip-off, and I left feeling unsatisfied and frustrated. It's unfair to customers to provide less food for the same cost simply because it's a takeout order. And the order is not cheap as well. Additionally, the service was far from friendly. The staff seemed indifferent and unwelcoming, making the overall experience even more unpleasant. Overall, the disappointing portion sizes and unfriendly service have ensured that I won't be returning to Asia Cafe. There are plenty of other places where I can get my money's worth and be treated with respect.
I didnt know you can mess up something so simple as fried rice First time here and last point blank
I've been a loyal patron of this nearby Asian restaurant for years, often indulging in their stir fry rice noodle. It's a real hit-or-miss situation lately, though. When the noodles arrive with that delicious brown hue, courtesy of their mysterious sauce, it's pure magic. But on those unfortunate days when the noodles show up looking pale and flavorless, it's like they forgot to invite the sauce to the party. It feels like there's one culinary wizard in the kitchen who knows the secret to deliciousness, and when they're not on duty, it's amateur hour. Consistency? Forget about it. For the same price, I get a gourmet experience or a bland disaster. It would be great if the restaurant could let us know who’s cooking each day, so I can plan my orders around their A-team's schedule. After years of loyalty and frequent orders, I’m seriously considering a breakup. I mean, if I'm going to gamble on whether my food will be edible, I might as well hit the casino instead. At least there, I know I'm taking a risk!
