Los Potrillos - Austin

I've been coming here for nearly 10 years, and I can honestly say that this is the most delicious Mexican food I have ever tasted in the Austin area.

This charming, local family-run restaurant is small but spotless, offering fantastic authentic Tex-Mex cuisine. The margaritas are just the right sweetness, while the fresh pico de gallo and guacamole are delightful. The verde sauce served with the chicken enchiladas is perfectly balanced. A great bonus is that nothing was overly salted. This is now our favorite go-to spot for Tex-Mex!

This is a fantastic spot for watching World Cup soccer and likely a good place for drinks (though I didn't try any). The service was excellent. However, the food didn't seem quite right; it had an off taste, almost as if the oils had gone rancid. I wouldn't choose to eat here again.

We loved our food. Great salsa. Good quantities. Good service. Only downside was the tight seating and the swamp cooler.

Eating is delicious. if they want to try real Mexican authentic food, it is. I would recommend def to family and friends.
